Estelle

Estelle joined the Dingle Medical Centre in January 2015 as Practice Nurse/Midwife. She completed her General Nursing Studies in 2000 graduating from Queens University Belfast before going on to graduate from Trinity College Dublin with a Higher National Diploma in Midwifery Studies in 2003. She worked as a Staff Midwife in the Rotunda Hospital Dublin and Kerry General Hospital Tralee. Since 2006 she worked as Practice Nurse/Midwife at The Scotia Clinic Tralee specialising in Fertility Care and Ultrasound scanning. Estelle has a keen interest in Womens Health and is a registered smear taker having also completed courses in Family Planning.

Marie & Fiona

Marie Fitzgerald, originally from Lispole has worked extensively in oncology and palliative care. She has a special interest in womens health, paediatrics and childhood vaccination. She coordinates our childhood vaccination and  cervical smear programmes here in the Dingle Medical Centre.

Fiona Barton  has trained and worked extensively in cardiology and holds a masters degree in cardiology. She is highly expertised in pre hospital emergency care and runs emergency care courses for medical staff all over Ireland. She has a special interest in diabetes, cardiology and chronic disease management and runs our diabetic and cardiac clinics.

Kay Dillane (not pictured) works as a paediatric nurse in the Bons when not working with us. She has a special interest in paediatrics and womens health and runs our spirometry clinic.

Dr Fiona Kavanagh

Dr Fiona Kavanagh MRCGP Fiona graduated from UCD and completed her GP training at the University of Edinburgh.

Fiona has worked for the last 11 years as a GP in Dingle and as Medical Officer at Dingle hospital where she has gained experience in ​Geriatric & P​alliative ​Care.

Fiona has postgraduate training in ​Paediatrics and has a special interest in ​Obstetrics and ​Women's ​Health. As a surgical trainee Fiona worked in ​U​rology, ​M​ens H​ealth and ​General ​Surgery. From a farming background in Lispole, Fiona enjoys travel and has an active interest in farming, horse riding and ​has ​contributed to the Dingle and Beal Ban races ​ as medical officer​. ​Fiona is a native Irish speaker and enjoys traditional irish music and dancing.

Dr Conor Brosnan

Conor is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. After completing GP training in Cork and Kerry, he worked in Australia before he returned to Dingle in 1997. His main interests are dermatology, dermoscopy (detailed analysis of moles using a dermoscope), skin surgery, sports medicine and GP education. Conor has qualifications in dermatology from University College Dublin and in dermoscopy from the University of Cardiff. He has attended many workshops on dermoscopy including lectures given by two of the pioneers in this area of dermatology -Professors Iris Zaluadek and Giusseppi Argenziano . In addition Conor and has attended the annual workshop run by the British Society for Dermatological Surgery and the Advanced Skin Surgery course run by the Primary Care Dermatology Society. He is a tutor for undergraduate medical students from the University of Limerick.
